Bristol University Master Scholarships - International Students

Bristol University in United Kingdom offers Master Scholarships for International Students. Current University of Bristol masters students are not eligible to apply. Applicants who defer entry must apply for the academic year in which their studies will start. There are 10 Scholarships worth £2000 each for a single programme of study. The amount will be deducted directly from tuition fees.

Japan - UK - Scholarships for Postgraduate Research Studies

Embassy of Japan in the UK offers postgraduate scholarships for students who have United Kingdom nationality, i.e. a UK passport. (Non-UK nationals must contact the Japanese Embassy in their country of nationality.) Application forms for the 2008-2010 programme will be available from early April 2007.

This award is offered on an annual basis to those with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, under the age of 35, who wish to continue their study at graduate level in Japan. The scholarship is primarily a research award, though enrolment onto a taught degree course may be possible in some cases. Japanese language ability is not prerequisite.

University Sport Birmingham (USB) Scholarship Scheme

Each year University Sport Birmingham awards 20 scholarships (worth up to £5,000) to athletes who are or about to study at Birmingham and are competing at or near National and International standard and 10 Bursaries (worth up to £1,000) are awarded to athletes who have been identified as athletes with potential to compete at national level. Both are awarded on an annual basis and available to all sports recognised by the AU.

University of Westminster Scholarships

University of Westminster will be offering a number of partial scholarships from 2007-2008 for the first time. Amount of the Scholarships is £2,000 fee waivers.

Criteria:
International students holding an offer for a full-time undergraduate degree at the University and academic excellence.

The Consortium of UK Universities for Higher Education Institutions in Aceh, Indonesia

Twelve universities in Great Britain: Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Sheffield, Southampton and York are participating to offering one full Masters scholarship per year for the next four academic years (2005/06 to 2008/09) for Higher Education Institutions in Aceh, Indonesia.

The scholarships are offered to two higher education institutions:
1. Institut Agama Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry (IAIN), Banda Aceh
2. Universitas Syiah Kuala (UNSYIAH), Banda Aceh

These two higher education institutions are invited to nominate candidates for the scholarships. The scholarships are offered to strengthen the competence of their academic staff following the tsunami of 26th December 2005.
